High St
Full Renovation and Reconfiguration
This home had real character and a layout that worked against it. Originally built in the 1800s, the kitchen sat at the far end of an awkward U-shaped floor plan, completely disconnected from how the family moved through the home day to day.
We repositioned the kitchen to the centre of the house, relocated the bathroom, and converted the original kitchen space into a generous master suite with its own bathroom, taking the home from three bedrooms and one bathroom to four bedrooms and two. Every decision was made to improve how the home felt to live in, without losing what made it worth preserving.
To honour the age and character of the original build, period-style plaster corbels were sourced from Melbourne and matched carefully to those already in the home. The kind of detail that is easy to overlook and makes all the difference.
